An estate where conservation and production go hand in hand
Hacienda El Bosque is a family-run enterprise committed to the conservation of biodiversity and the development of nature-based experiences. Spanning approximately 950 hectares, the property integrates sustainable agricultural and livestock production with over 450 hectares dedicated to conservation, ecological restoration, and reforestation.
Located at kilometer 18 of the Manizales–Magdalena road, the estate stretches from an elevation of 2,850 meters to approximately 3,900 meters above sea level, encompassing high-Andean forest, sub-páramo, and páramo ecosystems. This altitudinal gradient makes the property an ideal setting for conservation, research, environmental education, and nature tourism.
Our goal is to demonstrate that conservation can serve as a catalyst for regional development, the generation of knowledge, and the strengthening of local communities.
